At this stage, the lumber still contains a significant amount of moisture. Kiln drying reduces the moisture content to a controlled level, improving dimensional stability and reducing the risk of shrinkage and warping after installation.<\/div>\n

For overseas shipments, kiln drying also reduces shipping weight and helps minimize the risk of mould and decay during long-distance transportation, particularly in enclosed shipping containers.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
